Many micro MIM programs start with micro machined components which are deliberately planned for scalability in MIM as phase 2. Differences in draft, parting lines, and tolerances are considered such that the switch over to MIM is seamless and transitionable through scale-up. MES micro machining allows for geometry revising and proving assembly and feasibility prior to freezing the design and larger tooling capital spending.
